Holidays:

Please note, we operate 39 weeks a year and follow Derby council term time. We are closed during the half-term holidays but we resume teaching on the last Sunday of every half-term.

We still operate our regular teaching timetable during all bank holidays/teacher strike days. Therefore, we are always open on these days.

Absences/cancellations:

Please note, as per our terms and conditions, we require a minimum of 48 hours' notice. Any cancellations shorter than 48 hours will be fully charged and non-refundable, regardless of the situation. 

We also reserve the right to change your allocated time slot, cancel future lessons or change your payment method should these T&Cs not be met. As a small business, we must ensure that all costs are covered fairly. All our teachers spend many hours planning and preparing for lessons best suited for the students.

All parents/legal guardians must use the online 'Portal' system to log their absences/cancellations directly. Any absences notified via text, email or staff will not be recorded. Once registered, you will also be able to reset forgotten passwords. Please use the same e-mail address that receives payment details, weekly lesson reminders and invoices.

Refunds

Please note even if we are given notice, we do not offer refunds but instead credit your family account (on our system) with the amount owed. This is regardless of the payment method (Tax-Free Childcare, Childcare Vouchers or direct payment). Upon leaving, any overpayments will be fully refunded back into your account.

Payments

Please note our system takes bulk payments regardless of the payment method (every 6 weeks, per child). If the account is in credit with owed lessons the next invoice amount will be reduced. We do not charge over half-term holidays. Please note payments made after the due date are classed as late and are subject to a 5% late payment charge for admin and banking fees. If there are insufficient funds and we have to reattempt it, there will also be a late payment fee of 5% due to admin and payment costs (we incur banking charges for failed payments). For late payments, we also reserve the right to change your allocated time slot, cancel future lessons or change your payment method. 

Leaving:

Please note, we require a minimum of 2 lessons notice if you no longer require tuition. These lessons ensure we can meet any outstanding lesson objectives and ensure our students are best prepared for the future. Please send notice that you no longer require tuition only via email. Upon leaving, any overpayments will be fully refunded back into your account.

 

Consistent Absences:

Please note that with tuition, consistency is key; we want all our students to progress and grow in confidence. Regardless of 48 hours' notice any more than 2 consecutive absences per student will be charged. Furthermore, regardless of 48 hours' notice, any more than 8 absences a year per student will be charged. We also reserve the right to change your allocated time slot, cancel future lessons or change your payment method should these T&Cs not be met.

No pets are allowed on the premises, due to health and safety.
